The Tour de Montclair, Montclair’s iconic community bike ride, will return this year at 10am on Sunday, October 7. The Tour is brought to you by Bike&Walk Montclair and the Montclair Center BID.

This year’s Tour will feature all new activities, food and entertainment to bring a fresh spin to the event. The Montclair Bread Company will provide their wonderful donuts, fruit and coffee before the ride and pastries, lemonade and sandwiches afterwards! Gelotti will offer refreshing, delicious gelato after the ride. Phil Cantor Photography will be taking fun, celebratory photos of riders with their bikes. And live music from a Montclair favorite band – The Deep Dig – will greet riders as they roll back to Crane Park.

The family-friendly bike ride with 6- and 12- mile options, begins and ends at Crane Park, near the Geyer YMCA, and will take riders through the 4 wards of Montclair, highlighting parts of town not easily seen by car. Riders are invited to enjoy the sights at their own pace: fast, slow or anywhere in between!

Registration for the Tour is available online at and on the day of the event from 9AM-9:45AM. Riders will start lining up at 9:30AM and the Tour will officially begin at 10AM.

Pre-registration for the 2018 Tour de Montclair is strongly suggested at Registration includes a tee shirt, branded string sac, admission to the Tour and a 1-year membership to Bike&Walk Montclair.

Bike&Walk Montclair thanks its 2018 sponsors for contributions that will make this year’s Tour better than ever: Diamond Cycle, Gelotti, Lukas & Berube, Montclair Bread Company and Phil Cantor Photography. Big thanks too to previous year partners who provide crucial support and services: The Township of Montclair, Montclair Police and the Montclair YMCA.

Bike&Walk Montclair is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization that advocates for policies, programs and street designs that support biking and walking. Bike & Walk Montclair eagerly seeks new members and volunteers from Montclair and surrounding communities to help promote its mission.
