Founded by Mary Cumella and Logan Ramirez, both formerly of the beloved Fascino restaurant, Gioia Mia offers elegant cuisine inspired by New Jersey’s abundant local produce, sourcing ingredients from local farms, fishermen, and select purveyors.
The name “Gioia Mia,” meaning “my joy,” is a tribute to Mary Cumella’s late grandmother, who cherished bringing people together through food. This legacy influences the restaurant’s philosophy of fostering connections and building relationships over shared meals.
Gioia Mia is known for its seasonal dishes that blend comfort with sophistication. The restaurant is BYOB and offers fresh bread, with pasta dishes available in half sizes, allowing guests to sample multiple options. They have won numerous awards and find themselves on every “Must Try” list.
