Raymond's

In 1989, when Raymond Badach opened his postage-stamp-size luncheonette on Church Street, coffee was just coffee and Montclair wasn’t a mecca for New Yorkers.

Over time, small changes such as adding a cappuccino machine gave way to bigger changes. Joanne Ricci came on board as manager in 1996 and partnered with Raymond as a larger version opened in 2004. In December 2012, Ray and Joanne opened another Raymond’s in Ridgewood, NJ. They’re serving up the same fare in Bergen County and are now able to welcome lots more people (and kids!) from the big city or from down the road. The Ridgewood restaurant is located on the main drag, right across from the beautiful Van Neste Square Park. Check us out (and the view) while eating the goods we’re known for–French toast and pancakes, omelettes, home-made soups, and our Wednesday night special-fried chicken!
