Hipolito Pollantis, also known as the “Master of Fit”, is an expert in the field of fashion for more than 30 years. Traditionally trained in pattern-making at the Dominican Republic’s renown Instituto Técnico Superior Mercy Jácquez. He would later become the design professor at La Escuela de Diseño Altos de Chavón, for more than 15 years.
Hipolito Pollantis’s work has appeared on BET, OWN network, Black Girls Rock (televised special), Essence Magazine, Quisqueya Es Moda Desfile De Moda (2020, 2022, 2023), Desfile De Chacabanas for the Dominican Republic Embassy (Mady Colon Production, 2023) and Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. A global citizen at heart, Hipólito currently resides in Newark, NJ and finds joy in life’s simple pleasures – a good cigar, a snifter of bourbon, being surrounded by friends, or solitude.
